clip-bot is a personal automation tool that takes a YouTube video link, splits it into shorter clips, and publishes those clips to social media accounts (Facebook and/or TikTok) that are owned and controlled by the tool's operator.

What data is processed

• YouTube video URLs submitted by the operator via a private messaging channel.
• Video and metadata (title, tags, language) downloaded from YouTube for the sole purpose of creating and publishing clips.
• Access tokens for the operator's own connected Facebook Page and/or TikTok account, used only to publish content to those same accounts.

What this tool does not do

• It does not collect, sell, or share data about any third party or end user.
• It does not use TikTok or Facebook data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than publishing the operator's own content to the operator's own accounts.
• It does not retain video files after they are published; downloaded video and subtitle files are processed in a temporary workspace and deleted when each job finishes.

Data retention

No persistent database of user data is kept. Access tokens are stored only as encrypted secrets in the hosting provider's secret management (GitHub Actions secrets / Render environment variables) and are never logged or exposed.
